The tasks a Cutting, Crimping and Connector Assembly Operator is expected to perform include:Using the cutting machine, crimping machine and manually cutting wire and completing the connector assembly
Programing the cutting machine for wire type and length of cut and insulation stripping
Checking combination of single side or double side crimping as per drawing
Checking for quality of connector assembly
Knowledge of basic electronics and component identification Knowledge of different types of cables and wires
Knowledge of machine programs and operations for cutting and crimping
Knowledge of wire combinations and housing assembly
Proficiency in FIFO system of inventory control
Proficiency in 5S standards (sorting, setting, standardize, sustain, shining), safety and security
Ability to identify and resolve problems during crimping and cutting process
Computer literacy and ability to read warnings, instructions, invoices, maintenance records, job sheets and work orders Staying abreast with quality standards of the company Knowledge of how to use safety equipment such as fire extinguisher during fire accidents
