Continuous Machine Operator Assistant

The tasks a Receiver (Match) is expected to perform include:

Receiving dried match sticks coming out of continuous machine in trays for delivering them to box filling section

Pushing trolley containing empty trays to side of continuous machine

Keeping empty trays on carrier of continuous machine for filling them with dried match sticks

Collecting filled trays from carrier and replacing them with empty trays from trolley

Dressing match sticks in trays evenly by padding them by hand or with flat wooden piece

Removing damaged and incomplete stick

Arranging filled trays on trolley racks and pushing loaded trolley to specified point

Ensuring that paraffin level in continuous machine is maintained at prescribed level

Filling container with liquid paraffin as necessary by opening paraffin tank tap

Competent in collecting dried match sticks coming out of continuous machine in trays

Competent in assisting the continuous machine operator

Proficiency in collecting empty trays and replacing it with filled trays

Knowledge of comparing size of match heads

Proficiency in removing damaged and incomplete stick

Well-versed with checking paraffin level in continuous machine

Will be updated

It requires one to be on their toes

Local travelling is not a part of this job role

Working hours

Chemical & petrochemical companies usually work for 6 days a week and 8/10 hours everyday. This may vary from company to company
