The tasks of a Wood Bender is expected to perform include:
Bending the wooden parts as required shape
Steaming the wooden parts or heating them in boiling water to make them soft and pliable
Bending steamed or heated parts gradually by hand into the required shape
Placing heated parts in manually operated press to obtain desired curvature
Fastening parts into place or keeping them in the sun to dry and set in permanent shape
Knowledge of wood bending process
Well-versed in operating wood bending machines
Adept at wood bending techniques like steaming, heating, softening, drying, etc.
Ability to bend wooden parts to required shape
Knowledge of maintaining continuous application of steam to ensure pliability while pressing to shape
Eye for detail
Ability to focus for long hours

Good hand-eye coordination

Working hours
Working hours are 8/10 hours everyday for 6 days a week. This may vary from factory to factory

The tradition of using wooden furniture for home came into late existence.
