The tasks an Assembly Line Operator is expected to perform include:
Assembling different modules in the IT hardware to complete the product
Mounting components in PCB slots
Binning or kitting the components, modules and accessories
Maintaining tools appropriately to reduce damage or repair
Maintaining zero material defect during material handling by following standard operating procedures
Proficiency in equipment operating procedures
Knowledge of basic electronics involved in the hardware
Proficiency in handling specific expensive modules such as processors and hard disks
Knowledge of voltage and power requirement for different hardware devices
Familiarity with the use of tools such as electronic screwdrivers, needle-nose pliers, etc.Familiarity with Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and precautionary steps
Proficiency in achieving required quality standards
Knowledge of operation and familiarity with different types of IT hardware equipment such as Desktop, Laptop, Printer, Scanner, Networking device, servers, EPABX, etc.
Good hand-eye co-ordination

Basic estimation and numerical skills
Good problem solving skills
