The tasks an Inspector, Assembly (Telephone Equipment Manufacturing) is expected to perform include:

Inspecting, assembling and sub-assembling the switches, phones, telephone and telegraph equipment

Getting all the defects removed from the equipments being used

Checking the wiring and different components of apparatus

Ensuring the conformity of the apparatus as per the specifications

Making use of simple tests, sets and gauges

Checking the assembly with charts, blue prints and other prescribed standardized

Ensuring that all the procedures are followed in the assembling process

Recording all the defects and faults of assembly line on the quality control charts

Testing the apparatus after rectification

Certifying that the assembly is in conformity with the requirements

Skilled in doing the inspecting, assembling and sub-assembling work

Skilled in handling the switches, phones, telephone and telegraph equipments

Ability to use different components of apparatus as per the specifications

Knowledge of simple tests, sets and gauges

Proficient in checking the assembly with charts, blue prints and other prescribed standards

Skilled in handling the quality control charts
