The tasks a Shop Attendant is expected to perform include:
Performing a number of tasks in the wholesale or retail business establishment such as opening and closing of shop, etc.
Keeping the premises neat and clean
Bringing articles from stock room or show cases to the counter or from manufacturers, dealers or railway stations to the establishment premises
Opening packages and storing articles at proper places and assisting the Shop Assistant in measuring, weighing and packing of articles
Basic knowledge of shop management
Basic knowledge of storing, sorting, weighing, etc.Knowledge of items placed in the store and their prices and specification
Knowledge and ability to provide sales assistance
