Addressing Machine Operator

The tasks an Addressing Machine Operator is expected to perform include:

Operating electrically driven machine which automatically prints names, addresses etc. on envelopes, documents, forms, etc.

Loading magazine of the machine with required number of embossed metal plates to effect printing

Placing stock of form, envelopes and other documents to be printed on the table of machine

Starting the machine to automatically release embossed plate to correct position for printing

Removing the printed material from machine and stocking them separately

Ensuring clear and accurate printing on documents, forms, etc.

Changing ribbon of machine periodically to effect clear impressions

Knowledge of operating electrically driven machine

Familiar with placement of forms, documents, etc.

Proficient in stocking embossed plates in special racks

Knowledge of ejecting metal plate at delivery end into tray after printing

Well-versed in adjusting the levers to set speed of machine and number of copies required for each plate

Proficient in maintaining the machine like cleaning, oiling, etc.

Knowledge of operating embossing machine
