Embossing Machine Operator

The tasks an Embossing Machine Operator is expected to perform include:

Operating power driven machine to emboss names, addresses and other details in metal plates

Receiving subject matter to be embossed

Placing metal plate in the holder of the machine

Setting desired character or letter in correct position and pressing foot pedal to lower dye and embossing character or letter on plate giving necessary spacing, etc.

Collecting embossed plates and storing them in racks in serial order

Supplying embossed plates to Addressing Machines Operator

Knowledge of power driven machine

Well-versed in the subject matter to be embossed

Proficient in storing embossed plates

Knowledge of operating addressing machine and print addresses on envelopes, documents, etc.

Knowledge of oil and cleaning the machine

Ability to follow instructions

Accuracy in work

Diligent and hardworking

Result-oriented

Working in a factory environment

It needs one to be on their toes

Need not handle a team

Local travelling is not a part of this job role

Part-time work and contractual jobs are available in some cities

Work from home option is not available

Working hours
Working hours are 10/12 hours everyday for 5/6 days a week. This may vary from company to company

For freshers - INR 6,000 to INR 7,000 per month

The Indian Printing Industry, growing at a rate of 12% per annum, comprises more than 250,000 big, small and medium printers. The current annual turnover of the industry is more than 50,000 crores (USD 11 Billion).
