The tasks a Physical Training Instructor is expected to perform include:
Conducting physical training classes, organizing games and coaching students in games and athletics
Training and engaging students of colleges, schools and allied institutions individually or in groups
Conducting other physical exercises to promote strength and gracefulness or to reduce and correct weight
Teaching use of dumb-bells, bars and other equipment
Organizing, leading, instructing and refereeing games such as hockey, basketball, football or kabaddi
Organizing inter-class, inter-units or inter-district sports competitions and athletic meets
Supervising maintenance of gymnasium and sports equipment
Organizing picnics, tours and other recreational activities for the students
Delivering health talks and ensuring personal cleanliness and community hygiene among students
Knowledge of all the sports and their rules and regulations
Skilled in organizing drills, games and activities
Knowledge of all the core exercises to develop muscles, endurance, etc. in an athlete
Skilled in providing weight training
Proficiency in keeping the equipment and other playing material in good condition
Knowledge of health, hygiene and cleanliness requirements
