The tasks a Fitness Trainer is expected to perform include:
Training others through various fitness activities
Providing training to trainees of all ages, shape and sizes to get healthier and achieve desired fitness levels through focused exercises and activities
Carrying out physical examination and understanding fitness goals
Inspecting activity area and equipment
Capturing and studying past and current medical as well as the physical state of trainee
Understanding and noting down the trainee?s goals and sub-goals
Preparing a training plan for the trainee
Conducting tests as per the requirement of the trainee
Creating awareness of injuries and prevention techniques
Reporting any issues related to training equipment and activity area to the concerned personnel or management
Familiar with different types of exercises
Knowledge of different exercise equipment and maintenance of the same
Skilled in various muscle building and fat burning techniques
Knowledge of training combinations for athletes, regular and occasional users
Basic knowledge of emergency response procedures like how to assess physical injuries and provide emergency relief
Equipped to administer basic first aid
Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology
Aware of accepted best practice principles of exercise
Equipped to identify muscles responsible for various movements
Basic knowledge of occupational health and safety guidelines for providing personal training
Knowledge of impact of exercises on body
Aware of exercise limitations based on physical and mental limitations
Skilled in providing instructions on usage of various gym equipment
Knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements based on person?s habits, lifestyle, etc.
