The tasks a Supervisor, Customs is expected to perform include:
Supervising the search of passengers luggage
Checking the baggage?s of the passengers at ports, aerodromes and across national borders
Detecting smuggling of goods
Assisting the Examiner Customs in the examining process
Looking into the cargo and baggage of passengers
Arranging for deposit of unclaimed and unclear goods of customs duty in godowns
Helping the Appraiser Customs in the assessment of duty
Ensuring that all vital points of restricted area are guarded
Preventing the passage of dutiable goods without clearance
Skilled in supervising the searching process of passengers
Ability to looking into the baggage?s of the passengers at ports, aerodromes and across national borders
Skilled in ensuring that there is no smuggling of goods
Skilled in arranging for the proper deposit of all the unclaimed goods of customs duty in the respective godowns
Skilled in assisting the helping the Appraiser Customs
Ability to ensure that all vital points of restricted area are guarded properly
Proficient in preventing the passage of dutiable goods without clearance
