The tasks an Rendering Artist is expected to perform include: Converting three-dimensional geometric models into a set of viewable images
Knowledge of post-production techniques that would apply to the current production
Well-versed about relevant equipment and software required e.g. Silhouette, Nuke, Fusion, Combustion, Shake Premier, PF track, After Effects, Renderman, Quantel, Smoke, Flame, Avid, 3DS Max and FCPKnowledge on how to translate script requirements and post-production objectives into a schedule that could cover the workflow, key activities, deliverables and timelines
Competent on to estimate the cost
Knowledge of domestic and international post-production best practices prevalent in the industry
Rendering software such as Renderman, MEL, Maya, 3D Studio Max and Blender
Well-versed with the principles of film-making and cinematography
Digitally and technically competent
Creative
Team player
It is not a desk job
