Certified training for Emergency Medical Technician -Advanced (programme aligned to HSS/ Q 2302 released by Healthcare Sector Skill Council)

Preferably relevant work experience

The tasks an Emergency Medical Technician Advanced is expected to perform include: Providing emergency medical support and care to individuals who are critically ill or injured Transporting patients to a medical facility within the stipulated time limit

Administering a range of medications

Proficiency in basic medical terms and principles to evaluate the patient?s condition

Ability to deal with different types of hazardous materials

This job is considered mildly hazardous or dangerous

Health risks include exposure to infectious body fluids such as blood, saliva, other body fluids, disruption of circadian rhythm (24-hour body cycle), sleep deprivation and disorders of the gastrointestinal and cardiovascular system, etc.Occupational hazards include mental and physical stress, body ache, injuries, etc.

For freshers - INR 10,000 to INR 12,000 per month For candidates with 2 -3 yearsexperience - INR 12,000 to INR 15,000 per month(These figures are indicative and subject to change)

Medical Tourism and Certification/Accreditation of Medical Institutions

As covered earlier, medical tourism is being widely promoted by the Indian government. Certification/Accreditation of medical institutions definitely play a large role in attracting foreign nationals to Indian hospitals for treatment. With healthcare delivery players in the private sector vying for a share of international medical tourists, there is bound to be an increase in the number of medical institutions being certified/accredited.
