Minimum Bachelors degree with a major in surveying

Previous relevant work experience

The tasks a Manager, Land Survey is expected to perform include:

Planning and directing of professional land surveying activities

Coordinating activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees

Identifying staff development and training needs and ensuring that training is obtained

Ensuring proper labour relations and conditions of employment are maintained

Maintaining records, preparing reports, and composing correspondence relative to the work

Solving field problems of survey crews by providing needed information from the central office

Meeting with planning and design engineers and architects to determine pertinent information required for project plans

Performing preparatory research for upcoming surveys

Well versed with the policies, procedures, and regulations of a departmental survey program

Knowledge of mathematics, mathematical tables, and computations applicable to the work

Understanding of principles, practices, and materials used in survey work

Knowledge of surveying instruments and equipment and their use and care

Ability to use surveying equipment

Working hours

Construction companies usually work for 5/6 days a week and 8/9 hours everyday. This may vary from company to company Shift system is not available

Being self-employed is also an option. In this case, the working hours and days will be flexible
