The tasks a General Manager, Livestock Farm is expected to perform include:Overseeing farm operations such as timely milking, feeding and taking care of the livestock

Budgeting and maintaining accurate financial records Organizing sales and purchases of livestock, farm equipment and other products

Handling paperwork and keeping administrative records Training/instructing and supervising farm workers

Ensuring compliance with government regulations and safety standards Monitoring nutrition and health of the livestock

Ensuring that the livestock farm is profitable and meets projected financial targets

Organizing maintenance/repair of farm property, equipment and machinery

Knowledge of veterinary sciences

Experience of planning, budgeting and implementing large size projects Ability to liaise with industry stakeholders

Ability to manage and lead a team of farm workers

Knowledge of the latest technological advancements in livestock management

Proficient in basic arithmetic and accounting

Knowledge of pests and disease management

Ability to work in a safe and sanitary manner

Proficiency in Hindi or any other local language

MBA preferably in Rural Management or Agribusiness Management
